BIOGRAPHY

SASHO SAZDOVSKI was born 1976 in Skopje, Macedonia He is a sculptor and researcher. In 2000 he received BFA degree from the Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture and Graphic design in Skopje Macedonia and in 2002 MFA degree Department of Sculpture Academy of Fine Arts, Skopje Macedonia under the mentorship of the Prof. Dragan Popovski Dada. The artistic practice of Sasho Sazdovski is a scientific research where he is focused on the questions of infinity as a reflection of our limited existence in time and space. The enormous, abstract dimensions beyond our comprehension have always encouraged the artist's experiments in search of his own, unique answers. The constant flow of energy is quite provocative in his continuous journey through the sculpture. In the new cycle "Joints" and "Minimal contrast", he tries to combine natural materials such as marble and granite with man-made materials, revealing the essence of the unity of opposites. His work has been featured in the museums and galleries for contemporary art including the Center for Contemporary art in Abu Dhabi UAE, Mark Rothko Art Center in Latvia, Heydar Aliyev Foundation Baku, Azerbaijan, Kalakshetra National Museum in India, Al Asmakh Art Foundation, Doha Qatar, Center for Contemporary art MECA Almeria Spain, 58 Biennale di Venezia at Centro Culturale Don Orione Artigianelli in Italy, 14 Biennale di Venezia di Architettura Palacio Albrizi in Italy and other venues. Тhe most significant segment in his creative career is the realization of monumental sculptures in public space. He has been realized over 20 public sculptures in Argentina, Oman, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Slovenia UAE, Turkey, Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Latvia, Russia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Portugal and Macedonia.
